{"id":13226,"date":"2026-01-22T10:34:21","date_gmt":"2026-01-22T14:34:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iamovers.org\/?post_type=news&#038;p=13226"},"modified":"2026-01-26T12:06:44","modified_gmt":"2026-01-26T16:06:44","slug":"un-development-program-new-york-based-posts-eportal","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/iamovers.org\/news\/un-development-program-new-york-based-posts-eportal\/","title":{"rendered":"UNDP Moves New York-Based Posts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)\u00a0have announced it will relocate a substantial share of positions currently based in its New York Headquarters to Bonn and Madrid.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/unric.org\/en\/un-development-programme-to-relocate-a-substantial-share-of-new-york-based-posts-to-bonn\/\">press release<\/a>, the United Nations said that the move is part of \u201can ongoing effort to adapt to an evolving financial and development landscape, strengthen partnerships, and maximize UNDP\u2019s ability to support the world\u2019s most vulnerable people.\u201d The relocation will affect almost 400 posts, with approximately 75% transferring to Bonn, Germany, and about one quarter to Madrid, Spain. However, New York will remain UNDP\u2019s global headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNDP operates in some 170 countries and territories with a workforce of approximately 22,000. The majority of the employees serve in country offices and regional hubs, with less than 7% based in New York.
